The Sunday Times State Secondary School of the Year

We are incredibly proud to announce that King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls has recently been recognised with two prestigious awards that highlight the exceptional quality of education we strive to provide. These accolades are a reflection of the hard work, commitment, and dedication of our entire school community and would not happen without everyone connected to our school.

We are delighted to inform you that KEVI Camp Hill School for Girls has been named as State Secondary School of the Year for the West Midlands for Academic Excellence, 2025 in the Sunday Times ‘Parent Power’ guide. This award is a reflection of our outstanding GCSE and A Level outcomes in the summer of 2024.

It is with huge pride that we are also able to share that we have been awarded the coveted national title of State Secondary School of the Year, 2025, which is an exceptional achievement and testament to the relentless pursuit of excellence from our staff, students and governors in all areas of school life.

These awards are really not just about our students’ outstanding achievements at GCSE and A Level: they are measured by progress in academic outcomes year on year; on our breadth of curriculum; our enrichment opportunities; school culture, and on the support we provide in order for students to flourish as individuals. They suggest that our holistic approach to education is the right one: that we not only value academic outcomes, but that we marry those with care, and provide opportunities for students to grow into confident, articulate and grounded young people.

The awards we have received are a testament to the remarkable efforts of our students, the expertise and passion of our staff, the guidance and support of our governors, parents and carers and the ongoing partnership with the King Edward VI Academy Trust. It is humbling to be recognised in this way, not only because it acknowledges our collective success, but also because it reflects the values we hold dear in providing the very best education for our students.

Our school Governing body would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone associated with the school.
