Our uniquely broad and challenging academic curriculum is supported and complemented by a cohesive and progressive experience of Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC). We appreciate the importance of learning that takes place beyond the classroom walls, so we plan, deliver and evaluate a year-round, packed programme of visitors into school, trips and visits, thought-provoking assemblies, school-based events and careers-related learning.

LOtC experiences are woven into our academic programmes of study, with each subject area exploring its own way of consolidating and extending students’ learning and understanding. Many aspects of LOtC are cross-curricular, thus engaging students in ‘joined-up’ learning and thinking. In this way, we can be sure that our school’s curriculum covers so much more than just the timetabled subjects followed by our students.

From the immersive residential in Anglesey for all Year 7 students, to our Year 13 students undertaking community and primary placements, students here at Camp Hill enjoy an unrivalled array of opportunities to deepen their knowledge and to develop their resilience, character and independence.
